Tydee Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers

Tydee provides software that cleaning businesses use to schedule jobs, manage their teams, invoice clients and track their finances. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Tydee website, web dashboard and mobile apps (together, the "Service"), why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you can control or delete it. It distinguishes two groups. Account users are the business owners, managers and cleaners who sign in to Tydee; we are the controller of their data. Client contacts are the end customers whose names, addresses and job history a business enters into Tydee; we process that data on the business's behalf and under its instructions. Data controller: Tydee, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Contact: privacy@tydee.io.

What we collect

You give us directly: • Name, email address and phone number — to create and secure your account and contact you about the Service. • Business name, address and service area — to set up your workspace and pricing rules. • Team member names, roles, assigned jobs and hours worked — for scheduling, dispatch and payroll reporting. • Client contact details, service addresses, access notes and job history — to deliver the scheduling and invoicing features you signed up for. • Invoices, payments, expenses and pricing rules — for the billing and financial reporting features. • Photos you attach to a job — as proof of work, shared with the client. • Support messages — to answer your questions. Collected automatically: • Device identifiers, OS version and app version — to deliver the app and diagnose crashes. • Log and usage data (features used, timestamps, IP address) — for security, abuse prevention and product improvement. • Location, only if you enable job check-in — to record arrival at and departure from a job site. • Push notification token — to send job assignments and reminders.

Location and notifications

Location is collected only when you use a feature that needs it — clocking in and out of a job, and job-site arrival reminders. Precise location is never collected in the background unless you have granted background location permission after an explicit, separate prompt, and it is used only to detect that you have reached a job you are assigned to. You can turn location and push notifications off at any time in App Permissions inside the app, or in your device settings, without losing access to the rest of the Service. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data or your clients' data for third-party advertising. The app carries no advertising SDK and does not collect an advertising identifier.

Legal bases (EEA / UK)

We rely on performance of a contract (delivering the Service), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, product improvement), consent (location, push notifications, marketing email) and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Tydee, under contracts requiring them to protect it to a standard equivalent to this policy and to use it only for the purposes we specify: • Render — application and database hosting (all account data). • Amazon Web Services (S3, DynamoDB) — file and data storage (job photos, application data). • Stripe — subscription payments (billing contact, payment metadata). We never see or store your full card number. • Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) — product usage analytics and crash diagnostics (usage and device data). • Sentry — error diagnostics (crash logs, device data). • Resend — transactional email (email address, message content). • Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications (device token). We also disclose information when required by law, and to a successor entity in a merger or acquisition, with notice to you. We do not share personal information with data brokers.

International transfers

Data is stored in Canada and the United States. Where we transfer data out of the EEA or UK we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

• Account and workspace data — while your account is active. • After you delete your account — erased or irreversibly anonymised within 30 days. • Backups — purged within 90 days. • Invoices and financial records — up to 7 years, as required by tax law, separated from your account. • Crash and diagnostic logs — 90 days.

Your rights and controls

Wherever you live, you can: • Access and export your data — from the web dashboard, or by writing to privacy@tydee.io. • Correct anything inaccurate — from your profile settings. • Delete your account and all associated personal data — see the next section. • Withdraw consent for location, push notifications or marketing email at any time, in App Permissions or in your device settings, without losing access to the rest of the Service. • Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interests. We respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or UK you can also complain to your local supervisory authority.

Deleting your account

You can delete your Tydee account and all associated personal data from inside the app: Profile → Delete account. No email or support request is required. You can also request deletion at https://tydee.io/delete-account. Deletion removes your profile, your workspace, your team records, your client records, your job history and your attached photos. When you confirm, the deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone. There is no recovery window and no way for us to restore the data afterwards. If you own a workspace with other users, deleting your account deletes the workspace and every record in it, for everyone. We warn you and require you to type the company name to confirm. To leave without destroying the workspace, transfer ownership first. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel it separately with the provider your company subscribed through. Invoices and financial records may be retained for the period required by tax law, in a form separated from your account.

Children

Tydee is a business tool intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.2 or higher, data is encrypted at rest, and access is governed by role-based permissions. Credentials are stored on your device in the operating system keychain. No system is perfectly secure; we notify affected users and regulators of a breach as required by law.

Changes and contact

We post any change here and update the date above. Material changes are announced by email or in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Questions: privacy@tydee.io — Tydee, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
